Training in the Basic Grid is the most advanced unit in the Innersource practitioner training series. It calls for the highest level of technical proficiency as well as professional seasoning. Specific precautions have been spelled out to protect clients as well as practitioners and to increase the probability of the desired outcomes. Before considering applying for grid training, please review the hazards that are laid out in the discussion of the Basic Grid in Energy Medicine, please read the May 2002 issue of the Energy Community Report, and please read the "Advance Agreement for Grid Work Training."

The prerequisites before applying for grid training include:

1. You have completed a 5-day Basic Training class with Donna Eden (or the equivalent in shorter classes and the study of her book and basic videotapes) and that you have completed the 3 specialized modules (Energy Tracker, The Radiant Circuits / Freeing the Spirit, 5 Rhythms), either by attending the class or watching the video programs and receiving a certificate of completion after sending in the written test.
2. That you are practicing energy medicine. This may range from an informal practice with friends and family members to being a licensed practitioner with a professional practice. The essence of this requirement is that you are already using energy techniques to benefit others and are operating at a level where you are ready to incorporate grid work into your practice.
3. That you have received at least one session with a grid practitioner to evaluate your readiness for receiving grid work (see our referral list). If you are not ready, that you receive treatment (not necessarily from the same person) so that you are ready. Beyond basic balancing, this usually involves chakra work. Also, if you have more than one major grid pattern out, that you receive treatment (after appropriate charka work, etc.) so that not more than one major grid pattern is out before attending the training. The class instructor may make exceptions to any of this -- your application should address why an exception is being requested.

To apply, please write a letter that covers the following:

1. Briefly outline how you meet the three prerequisites above.
2. To do grid work safely and effectively, a person must be energetically sturdy. Please address this concern.
3. To do grid work effectively, a person must be sensitive to subtle energies and able to attune oneself to another’s energies. Please address this concern.
4. Please include two letters from individuals who have received energy sessions from you that briefly describe their experience in the session and comment on you as a practitioner.

Once you have all of this, please send all of these documents as a single e-mail with attachments. If your letters of recommendation are e-mails, you can copy them into the body of the main e-mail and somehow denote that it is a letter of recommendation.
