Because Energy Medicine is first a preventive approach for enhancing the
flow and vibrancy of the bodys energies, you can apply many of the most basic
methods to yourself or your loved ones as freely as you might use physical exercise, yoga,
meditation, or relaxation techniques.
You
can also, based on a class or two, or through studying the book Energy Medicine or
the related videotapes, identify chronic or acute dysfunctional patterns in your energies
and begin to correct them.
The
range of conditions that can be treated using Energy Medicine, however, covers the entire
spectrum of health and illness, and the techniques may require a great deal of knowledge
and sophistication on the part of the practitioner. The first rule of thumb is that any unusual, persistent,
or severe medical symptoms should be evaluated by a qualified health care practitioner.
Anyone
can teach the methods of Energy Medicine to others. This is not a restricted activity in
any legal sense. They cannot, however, represent themselves as being certified by
Innersource or Donna Eden to provide such training unless such certification has been
granted in writing. The two-year Eden Energy Medicine Certification Program prepares you, in
fact, to offer such services to the public at a high standard.
Many
health care practitioners do, in fact, come to our classes, and the understanding is that
they will use their own professional judgment, training, and standards as they incorporate
Energy Medicine techniques into their work. Innersource is authorized to grant CEU credits
that are recognized by many of the health care professions, and its Certification
Program is setting a standard for the field. Individuals who wish to provide services
using Energy Medicine to the public for a fee, but who are not already licensed health
care providers, are encouraged to take training that will lead to such a license
concurrently with their training in Energy Medicine. Increasing numbers of massage
therapists, physical therapists, mental health counselors, chiropractors, nurses, and
physicians are, in fact, incorporating Energy Medicine into their practices. |
