Year 2: Eden Energy Medicine Certification Program

Continued Training & Certificate Renewal

Benefits for Renewing Your Certification

Maintaining your certification provides you a number of benefits:

  • You will retain your level of proficiency in providing EEM services and stay up to date with the latest Energy Medicine training.
  • You retain your eligibility to have your professional contact information listed on the Energy Medicine Practitioners page of the Innersource website. This area is the only Innersource-supported location where the general public can search for a Certified Eden Energy Medicine Practitioner. You may post your name, address, contact information, credentials, and practice specialties. In addition, there is a direct link for individuals to email you.
  • As a certified practitioner you are recognized in the Energy Medicine community as an individual who has completed the rigors of training associated with the Eden Energy Medicine Certification Program.

EEM Continued Training

The EEMCP Certificate will have both an issue and renewal date. Your certification will need to be renewed every two years by completing 12 hours of Continued Training (CT) in an approved Eden Energy Medicine program.  You will be able to continue using the title and be listed on the website as long as you meet the following criteria:

  • Remain in good standing with your EEM Continued Training
  • Hold a valid EEM Certificate
  • Have an active liability insurance policy
  • Uphold legal and ethical standards

The following EEM programs for the 2010 – 2012 renewal period will be eligible for CT hours:

  • Clinical Practicum - Qualifies for 26 Continued Training hours per class · whether attended as part of completing the program or audited.

  • Advanced Practitioner Program - Qualifies for 26 Continued Training hours per class whether attended as part of completing the program or audited.

  • IGEEM - Continued Training hours will be available for specified classes, watch for the class announcements to find out more! This conference will be applicable towards the May 2012 Renewal Date if needed.

  • Advanced Classes taught by Donna Eden - Classes will be marked with a "Qualifies for Continued Training" note in the listing.

  • Selected Advanced, Review, and Post classes taught by approved faculty. Class announcements will indicate if they count towards Continued Training hours.

  • Home Study - Under development

For those of you who have graduated from the Certification Program prior to 2011 please note that all courses accepted for the 2012 renewal period must have been taken between the 2010 & 2012 renewal period (except for IGEEM which will be applicable for the May 2012 renewal).

Continued Training hours can only be accrued once you have graduated from the Certification Program.

Continued Training hours must have been obtained during the current cycle and are not transferrable to another cycle.

One Class Hour is equal to one Continued Training hour.

Certification Renewal Process

It is your responsibility to renew your certificate. When you renew, you will be asked to do the following:

  • Complete the Certification Renewal form online.
  • Specify the EEM training programs for which you have received Certificates of Completion.
  • Pay a Renewal Fee of $150.
  • Submit a copy of your current professional liability insurance, showing your name, your insurance’s name, your expiration date, & Innersource listed as an AIE.

Once you’ve submitted this information to Innersource, please allow 30 days for your renewal request to be processed and a new EEM Certificate to be sent to you.

Rescinding a Certification

Innersource reserves the right, at its discretion and without explanation, to ask a student to leave an Eden Energy Medicine program or to rescind their certification in EEM. This can be based on failure to meet the academic, behavioural, professional, or ethical standards of the program as determined by Innersource staff.

Late Requests for Certification Renewal

If your certification renewal form is filled out online after your renewal date, your renewal request is considered late.  You may still renew your certification as indicated above, however there will be an additional late fee of $75.

Inactive Status

Sometimes circumstances require that we put certain aspects of our life on hold. If you find you want to temporarily stop practicing as an EEM-CP, EEM-CLP, or EEM-AP, you may request an Inactive Status. This is a choice you make at the time when your Certification renewal is due. The Certification renewal form will have a box to check for this. There will be a fee of $50.00 for related administrative costs.

When you are ready to re-activate your certification, please fill out the Certification Renewal form on the Innersource website. There will be a box to check that will allow you to re-activate your status. There is no charge for this. Then you must complete the same education requirements as for a regular renewal. If your certification has lapsed for more than two years, your circumstances will be reviewed and additional EEM training may be required.
