Frequently Asked Questions
1. When do the EEM Advanced Practitioner classes start?
The Grid class is held every May and the Regression Class is held in November.
2. Where are the classes held?
The Advanced Practitioner classes are held at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ. Please see the Innersource website for full information on the Wigwam Resort.
3. How many days are the classes?
Each Advanced Practitioner class runs similarly to a normal EEMCP class, which is 5-days starting in the evening of Day 1 and ending the morning of Day 5.
4. How much will it cost?
The tuition for Year 4 of the EEMCP is $2195 per class, or $4390 for the year. This fee can be paid on an annual or semi-annual basis. Semi-annual payments will be due one month prior to each class. This covers all of the class materials, conference space, teaching staff, and year-long supervision. The tuition does not include food and lodging and may increase up to a maximum of 10%, every year.
5. Does this include food and lodging?
No, food and lodging are separate. The same hotel rates and meal plan will be available as in Years 2 and 3 of the Certification Program.
6. I have already submitted an application for a Grid class. Do I need to re-apply?
Yes. Only applications received during the six week application window will be considered. We appreciate that this will be extra work for those of you that have already submitted applications and apologize for any inconvenience.
7. Is there any part of my previous application that can be utilized for this new application?
Unfortunately not. Given the expanded nature of the program and the fact that most of these applications are from years past, we need everyone to submit new applications.
8. What are the prerequisites for attending the Advanced Practitioner Program?
To attend the Advanced Practitioner classes, which are Year 4 of the EEMCP, you must be a graduate of Years 1, 2, and 3 of the EEMCP.
9. Are there any exceptions to these prerequisites?
While we will never say "never," exceptions will be extremely rare. We feel it is important that all Advanced Practitioners have had the same level of training.
10. Will the 100 sessions I submitted for the Clinical Practicum be applicable to my Advanced Practitioner session requirements?
In some circumstances. Please refer to the website section: Use of the Same Sessions for Year 3 and Year 4.
11. What if I have an emergency and cannot attend one of the classes? Will I be able to attend the following year, or watch a video of the class instead, as is allowed at the CP?
Watching a video will not be accepted as a substitute for taking a class in Year 4. Students will be welcome to attend the next available class as a make-up.
12. Can I take either of the classes individually, rather than commit to the entire program?
Grid and Regression classes that were once taught independently are now only offered within the context of the full Year 4 of the EEMCP. Performing a Grid session can take a client into a Regression, and doing a Regression session can take a client back to where a Grid was broken. We feel it is important and responsible to make sure that all who do this level of practice have both techniques at the ready.
13. Is Year 4 of the EEMCP something everyone should attend to complete their EEM education?
This program is designed for those practitioners who are already working substantively and consistently with clients, and are experienced and sturdy enough to take them to the deeper levels of healing accessed with Grid and Regression.
Many of us study EEM simply to increase the health and wellbeing of ourselves and our loved ones, or to have a very minimal professional practice. These are very worthy goals, and no less lofty than those who study EEM as a full-time career.
Grid and Regression are the deepest tools we offer, and not everyone will want to take the time and effort necessary to become the practitioners they need to be to take on this work. Playing guitar around the campfire for everyone to enjoy is just as enriching and valuable as playing a concert at Carnegie Hall, sometimes more so. We invite you to think about the level of practice that suits your desire and lifestyle when considering applying to the Advanced Practitioner classes. And remember, significant, lasting healing can take place without ever doing Grid or Regression work.
14. How many students will be in the class?
The Advanced Practitioner classes will be very small compared to a normal EEMCP class. The maximum will 40 students. The ratio of supervisor to student will be smaller as well. Your group will likely be no larger than 8 students per TA.
15. What will the format be of the Advanced Practitioner classes?
Both the Grid and Regression classes will be a combination of lecture, demonstration, and small group sessions. More than being a typical workshop, these classes will be actual forums for experiencing these techniques, from both a practitioner's and a client's point of view.
16. Do I need to have a Grid out to attend?
Some of you might already have all of your major grids repaired. In that event, your partner will either do a minor grid or cloaccal session for you.
If you know you have a major grid out, we suggest you do not have it repaired prior to the class. Working with a major grid in the class will have benefits in terms of your overall learning experience and that of your partner. So please consider the option of delaying further grid work.
17. What happens between classes? Are there supervision assignments similar to those in the CP and Clinical Practicum?
Yes. There will be a supervision period after you have completed your first class, which is the Grid class in May. In this period you will be mentored through your first Grid sessions. You will have a second supervision period after your Regression class in November. During this time you will finish your required six Grid sessions and complete your four Regression sessions.
This supervision phase is lengthier and more in-depth than you normally receive for an EEMCP class. This is to allow you to confer with your supervisor about the clients you are preparing for their Grid and/or Regression sessions and debrief with them after each session. You receive a total of12 hours of supervision time. All Year 4 work must be completed before you can be listed on the Innersource website as an Advanced Practitioner. You will have 12 months from the end of the Grid class to complete your required six Grid and four Regression sessions.
18. Can I choose my own supervisor or will one be assigned?
You will be assigned a faculty supervisor as in a normal CP class.
19. Will I have the same supervisor for Grid and Regression?
Yes. We have found that the bonding which occurs in the small groups creates such an advantageous healing energy, as much as possible, we leave the small groups together for all of Year 4.
20. Is there a deadline to complete the six Grids and four Regressions?
Yes. You will have 12 months following the completion of your Grid class to complete your supervision requirements for both the Grid and Regression classes.
21. What if I can't finish the supervision by the deadline?
A one-time extension will be allowed, which will give you an extra six months to complete your session requirements. You will be required to pay any additional hours of supervision necessary for this period. If, at the end of the six month extension, the supervision is still not complete, it will be necessary to attend Year 4 again.
22. What if I have completed the supervised sessions of one class and not the other?
If you have completed your required Grid sessions but not the Regression sessions, you need only repeat the Regression class.
