Course Description:

Energy Psychology: Explorations at the Interface of Energy, Cognition, Behavior, and Health is the book that introduced the field of energy psychology. Now in its second edition, it traces the roots of energy psychology, contrasts it with contemporary approaches, explores the interface with cognition and behavior, and provides specific instruction in treatment applications.

The book begins with an overview of current psychological paradigms and then investigates the energy paradigm, focusing on the relevance of acupuncture, homeopathy, electromagnetic and morphogenetic fields, prayer, and applied kinesiology to energy therapy. Psychological problems are depicted as manifestations of energy disruptions or energy configurations that can be precisely diagnosed and treated. Energy Psychology provides an overview of basic concepts and procedures, current research findings, applications in psychological treatment, ways of assessing the body’s energy systems, working with neurological disorganization/switching and psychoenergetic reversals, and more. Note: "Energy psychology is considered an experimental therapy pending further empirical support of its efficacy."
