A&P for Dummies - Fundamental Anatomy and
Physiology for Energy Medicine Practitioners

Taught by: Janie Chandler LMT, CEEMP and Marjorie Fein LMT, CEEMP
Date: Monday - August 11 Time: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Date: Tuesday - August 12 Time: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Cost: $90
Objective:

To increase the energy practitioner’s knowledge and confidence in basic human anatomy and physiology, and to elucidate the relationship between the subtle energy body and the physical body. Musculoskeletal, visceral, circulatory, nervous, and endocrine systems will be covered, as well as introducing terminology relevant in conversation with other health care professionals.

Class Description:

In EEM, practitioners use their knowledge of energetic systems and techniques to influence the subtle energy body, instigating positive physical changes. Since many practitioners are drawn to this work from varied backgrounds, it may be their first foray into health care. Having a sound grasp of basic human anatomy and physiology will endow an EEM practitioner's skills and abilities in visualizing and comprehending what's going on physiologically in the client's body, and also enable them to communicate this valuable information to the client. Both client and practitioner are thus empowered in the healing relationship.

Eden Energy Medicine provides amazing insight into the nature and habits of energy and it's impact on the physical system, but what about the nature of the actual organs that we interact with? We understand Spleen as meridian and Radiant Circuit energy, but what exactly is its physical function? What are the differing tasks of the small and large intestines? How big is a kidney? What is the anatomy of a muscle, and how does one work precisely? How is that relevant to energy testing?

As EEM practitioners we've learned the various languages of energy - in this class we will learn the language of the physical body, enabling practitioners to communicate information with specificity to client, colleague or physician. These descriptive terms are also very useful when teaching energy medicine classes.

As massage therapists, Janie and Margie have combined their formal training with their energetic studies, and have a reputation for lively and fun teaching styles. This class promises to be an exciting opportunity to illuminate and demystify the organs and physiological systems of the body, as well as master the terminology of anatomy.

Method for teaching:

By virtue of the fact that this subject warrants a lifetime of study, and we have six hours to cover the basics, this class will be fast, fun, and full of kinesthetic experience. Teaching methods will cater to all learning modes by being bright, active, and repetitious.

List of Audiovisual aids:
Screen and projector for presentation. Flip chart.
Handouts:

Handouts will support the class content and act as reference material for the practitioner in the office. There will be a list of suggested resources for student’s professional libraries.
